Crawl into a "nature" cave, play with dolls from around the world, learn how to weave, unleash your inner artist, dream up a puppet show or hop on music "dots" to creatre an original song.  All these activities and much more are options children can explore as they learn how to achieve peace with themselves, others and the planet during a visit to the interactive Children's Peace Pavilion.

Enjoy lunch at Clinton's Soda Fountain with an Ice Cream treat. Take a covered wagon tour with the Wrangler and listen as he spins tales of the past (must call for a reservation (816) 456-4991).

Tour the puppet museum, paint a puppet head, dress it in a costume and perform an impromptu show. Free finger puppet.

Take part in a variety of discovery area activities related to Truman's life, dress up in period clothes to look like Margaret, Bess or Harry, compete in a "race" to see who will arrive at Bess's home faster from the Truman Farm in Grandview, make a campaign buttons and a "Buck Stops Here" sign.

This exciting aquatic area is a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 900-foot long continuous lazy river ride with waterfall, 6,000-square-foot interactive family play pool with zero-depth entry, six-lane 25-yard lap pool with diving area, and three water slides: 210-foot open flume slide, 197-foot enclosed tube slide and 308-foot raft slide. It also contains a 30,000 square foot sun deck, modern bathhouse and full-service concessions.

Community Ice Rink. Destined to be one of the finest ice skating facilities in the Midwest, the Independence Events Center Community Ice Rink offers a wide variety of programs including public skating, learn-to-skate classes, figure skating, hockey, special events, birthday parties and private rentals. The facility also hosts a full service concession stand, skate sharpening services and a Pro Skate Shop for all your skating equipment, gear and apparel needs.
