The 31-room Second Empire Victorian Mansion boasts hand-painted and stenciled ceilings and elaborate hand graining on woodwork.

Enjoy the charming warmth of the 1850s home decorated simply with homemade wreaths, ornaments and ribbons.

Choose one of seven unique restaurants on beautiful lighted Independence Square. Take in charming holiday windows, sleigh rides, antique stores and numerous one-of-a-kind shops with seasonal food and merchandise.

"Twas the Night Before Christmas" and all through the home delight in an abundance of twinkling trees, wreaths and boughs of greenery.

Step into a replica of President Truman's Oval Office, visit the Museum Store, and take in the special exhibit "Memories of Korea" running through December 31, 2010. President Truman (Niel Johnson) will also be home for the holidays on December 26th from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

President Harry Truman called Christmas the "Great Home Festival" and he called Independence home. A special holiday exhibit at the Visitors Center features Truman Christmas memorabilia. (The Truman Home is closed until Summer of 2010).
