Published: Aug 4, 2014
Where else can you spend an afternoon enjoying, wine, art, and music for a great cause? Independence Uncorked of course. In its second year as a fundraiser for the Eastern Independence Rotary Club, Independence Uncorked features 20 Missouri wineries and one Missouri distiller as well as food vendors, artists, musicians, and community booths.

Independence Uncorked will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at the Bingham-Waggoner Estates in Independence, MO (313 W. Pacific Ave Independence, MO 64050).

Tickets are on sale now for $20.00 and are limited to the first 2,000 people. Your ticket includes sampling from the wineries and distiller and a logo wine glass that you keep.
Wine 101 Classes will be offered at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m. Offered by the Missouri Grape and Wine Council, you will get to sample several Missouri wines, find out how grapes are involved in the process, and win prizes. Over 1300 people enjoyed the fun-filled day last year. Two thousand people are expected to come out for the festivities of Independence Uncorked this year.

Seating will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your lawn chair. No outside food will be allowed but concessions will be available for a reasonable price.
